Entitlement to interest PDF Print E-mail

Who is entitled to the money we receive in interest from banks?

Al-jawaab billaahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah Taa’la's guidance)

You must get rid of interest money as soon as possible WITHOUT the Niyyah of getting Thawaab, but, rather getting rid of Haraam! You MUST not under any circumstance give that money to Muslims, however, I would suggest to give it to non-Muslim charities, or some worthy cause such as British Heart Foundation & Cancer Research, etc. So, to sum it all up you are recommend that this money is given to a charitable cause with the understanding that you will not receive any reward for the donation. The money should be used by the charitable organisation to help the poor and needy, but is not to be used for certain projects such as the construction of Masaajid, Madaaris, etc.

(VERILY, ALLAH TAA’LA IS ALL-KNOWING!)
