Dear Editor,
I always knew channel four broadcast fictitious programmes, but their recent “Dispatches” programme (Undercover mosque) had me screaming at my television, not at the imams or mosques, but at the programme makers themselves for their deliberate attempts to divide the communities.
I would have liked to have seen a programme that was a little more fair in showing the peaceful nature of Islam. I have many Muslim friends, and I know this programme is not a true reflection on their character.
If you want to show hatred and a desire for world domination, just show a few hours of President Bush ranting with Tony Blair at his side. Unfortunately the agenda of the media since the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan has been to create a climate of fear and hatred toward all Muslims thus generating support from the mainstream British public… but rest assured, there are some of us who can see through this deception and support the Muslims all the way.
