A mobile masjid has become the latest vehicle on the road in Germany.

The Islamobile, or Motormosque, will tour communities to stamp out prejudice and educate non-Muslims about Islam.

The 45ft-long vehicle can be rented out for £350 a day and features two retractable minarets (mosque spires), a cupola with crescent moon and loudspeakers that broadcast Islamic messages.

Builders Islam Info created the £130,000 information point on wheels in Germany – home to three million Muslims – to help clear up misunderstandings about the faith.

Perhaps they should head over to Rome and camp outside the Vatican.

A spokesman for the group “With the help of Allah and thanks to the work of our volunteers, the Islamobile is an effective educational tool, whose purpose is to familiarise Western society with Islam.”

Islam in Germany now makes up the third largest religious group in the country.
