Work by artists from Pakistan, although not Islamic art, is worth a look, as some of the pieces make a powerful statement, such as the installation by Usman Saeed and the window by Rashid Rana.
Rashid said, “I want to force people to look at the images of Pakistan before they can look at the image of Manchester as this city was built on the back of people of that region.”
The piece by Aisha Khalid a book of miniatures titled “The Birth Of Venus” is stunning and well worth a look, where the pages will be turned every few days.
