Q. May I travel for Eid Salaah on a car?

A. The Holy Prophet, Hadhrat Muhammad-ur Rasullullaah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to go to Eid Salaah by foot (not on any form of transport, i.e. camel, etc). Hadhrat Jabir (Radi Allah Anho) narrated: “On the days of Eid, the Holy Prophet, Hadhrat Muhammad-ur Rasullullaah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) would walk to the Eid Salaah by one route and walk back by another route. (Related by Al-Bukhaari) If distance is a problem, then, travelling on transport is permissible.
